April 09 Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe...I had one of those 'corner of the eye' moments today over breafast... the ones that make you double-take... and this one nearly caused my head to pirouette nicely off my shoulders and skuttle under the cupboards.
While reaching for a wheaty bixxy variety of breakfast cereal (sensible cereal on school days which makes fun cereal at the weekends all the more enjoyable and indulegent), my eye caught the side of the flaked corn cereal box. It was advertising one of things that fun cereal boxes tend to advertise... 'get your child to destroy your kitchen when you let them learn to cook chocolate krispies'... or 'save many meeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllion tokens for a 26 volume encyclopedia brittanica of pokemon characters'.
Now I'd read this advetisement only last weekend but somehow in the early morning mistiness of half-awakedness, and with the article being partially hidden, my brain had managed to re-arrange this advertiement into something which, even now, causes me to snigger. Being eco-friendly, Mr Kellogg was encouraging the people of this fair isle to 'Adopt A Monkey' but my brain, being the master of subtlety, and never one to play over-elaborate, exaggerated mind tricks on me, took advantage of the fact that the 'A' of adopt was hidden, sneakliy adjusted the 't' to look like an 'e', leaving me with the impression that Mr Kellogg was encouraging me 'Dope A Monkey'.
This is not a good thing to see so early in the morning... Secondly... Clint's been asking me if anyone has been laughing at his mule... If you have can you please stop it as it's getting rather upset...
****ADDITIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!**** Does anyone remember this???... Bit of a blast from my childhood past... remember it being such a fantastic cartoon...

March 25 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... Searching For The Ciiiiiiiiiitiiiiiiiies Oooooof Gooooold...Well things have been slightly slow around these here parts recently so to alieviate the boredom I decided to set about counting to infinity...
It was so much fun i'm doing it for a second time...
And I heard this for the first time in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages... It's so mint you could:
Sprinkle with salt and chop finely.
Place into a jug, add the sugar and pour over the boiling water, stir and leave to cool. Stir in the vinegar and taste. Add more water or vinegar and adjust seasoning to suit your taste. Smear it over a shank of lamb and serve with 'tatoes and veggies

March 11 Not Groundblog Day...Well it seems like there's been a lot of duck jokes flying about recently and, never one to jump on the badwagon straight away, prefering to let all the hullabaloo die down so it doesn't take the shine off my own participation, I would like to throw my hat in to the duck joke shaped ring...
Why do ducks always look sad?
